Success!!!!!.......... Well sort of...
So my last post was all about the french onion soup I decided to make for my college competition. I have learnt a lot making this and have picked out the bowls the soup will be served in etc... I just need to master the presentation. Yes the soup is a rustic traditional dish, but due to the fact that the recipe I used called for 2 slices of the toasted bread, the soup was too thick. The taste of the soup was as it should have been, so to solve this problem I am going to use 1 slice of toasted bread with cheese on both sides to protect the toasted bread and leave the soup at the correct consistency.
Let me know what you think of the menu.
I will be creating recipe packs soon and selling them for a small price. All of the proceeds will be going to charity.
Thanks :D
Bon Appetit!

Practice Makes Perfect!!!
Hi everyone :D
So tomorrow there is a competition being held at college and amongst other things I'll be making Traditional French Onion Soup or Soupe l'oignon gratinee as the french would say, for the first time ever!!! I really hope it goes well. If i can i'll take a picture so I can show you all how it turns out. I'm doing the whole thing from scratch (including the bread) and am really looking forward to it!!
Let me know if you have ever tried any of Julia Child's Recipes (or any french cooking of any sort for that matter!!) and how it turned out :)
Comments appreciated
